Telecommunication services

• Using predetermined Radio Network Planning (RNP) points, comprehensive initial site surveys are conducted. Full reports are submitted to RNP in order that informed decisions on workable locations may be taken.

• Attending technical site surveys with the relevant parties (engineers, RNP, client, management, contractors and property owners) to discuss possible viable options and factors that might influence the project.

• Comprehensive drawing plans are drafted from the technical site survey report (TSSR) which will be used for the leasing and permitting documentation.

• Conducting leasing negotiations with the property owners or representatives and building client relations.

• Preparing and obtaining all the relevant council applications and approvals ranging from land use right permits, building plan approvals, CAA approvals, environmental impact assessment queries, Surveyor General (SG) diagrams, title deeds and zoning certificates.

• Preparing town planning motivational memorandums as per the requirements of council legislation, town planning schemes, by-laws, including the Spatial Planning and Land Use Management (Act 16 of 2013) (SPLUMA) and telecommunication mast policies which influence the approval of such applications.

• Preparing building plan applications in terms of the provisions of the National Building Regulations and Building Standards Act (Act 103 of 1977).

• Accurate and comprehensive plans, including aerial plans, locality maps, cadastral info, site layout plans, elevation plans, etc. are drafted in multiple and the most up-to-date drafting software.

Telecommunication Projects

Wastewater treatment works: construction and operational phase

Our services for the implementation and ongoing management of the approved environmental management plan during the construction phase.

• Advising on dust, noise and erosion mitigation measures for all activities within the construction site boundaries.

• Waste management (hazardous and non-hazardous).

• Waste management of sludge as per Guidelines of the Permissible Utilisation and Disposal of Sewage Sludge (Addendum to Edition I1 997, WRC, 2002).

• Review and ongoing management of current health and safety standards and protocols.

• Integrated Water Use License Applications (IWULA) through the DWS.

• Air quality monitoring at designated sampling locations to assess impact to the sight of the local community.

Mining: Environmental authorisations and applications for mining rights and mining permits

  • Scoping reports in accordance with the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act (Act 28 of 2002) (MPRDA).
  • Compilation includes the following aspects of the investigation in terms of Section 49 of the MPRDA:
    • Description of methodology, including the stakeholder engagement process of the scoping phase.
    • Description of the existing environment.
    • Identification and description of the anticipated biophysical and socio-economic impact, including the cumulative effects of the proposed operation.
    • Identification and description of reasonable alternatives to the project and alternative means of carrying out the project.
    • Proposal of the most appropriate approach and procedure to plan and develop the proposed mining project.
    • Identification of the views and concerns of relevant authorities.
    • Identification of concerns of the interested and affected parties (I&APs) A public participation meeting is held to obtain input from the public.
    • Description of the nature and extent of further investigations required for an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) Amendment.
  • Facilitation of the public participation processes.
  • Consultation with (I&APs) in terms of statutory requirements with regard to the scoping studies and EIA/EMP investigations and the necessary networking to involve various I&AP groupings.
